JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU. Today is the Octave of Easter and Divine Mercy Sunday. We are solemnly celebrating the great Mystery of our Salvation. “The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15). “Yes, God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). We are now living in the End Times, the Age of Divine Mercy. Through Jesus’ Incarnation, Passion, Death, Resurrection, Gift of the Holy Spirit, and founding of the Church, Mercy and Eternal life in God’s Kingdom are being offered to every human being from Adam and Eve to the end of history. Let us receive the Gift, then celebrate and live our new life in Christ! Yet there are still forces at work that are trying to prevent this. What are we up against? The Catechism puts it this way. “God created man in his image and established him in his friendship (396). …Man, tempted by the devil, let his trust in his Creator die in his heart and, abusing his freedom, disobeyed God’s command. …All subsequent sin would be disobedience toward God and lack of trust in his goodness (397). …Scripture portrays the tragic consequences of this first disobedience. …They became afraid of the God of whom they have conceived a distorted image – that of a God jealous of his prerogatives (399). Jesus, who is true God and true man, suffered and died for us. He rose from the dead to offer us he and the Father’s Peace, Pardon, Spirit, Friendship, Mercy and Mission. Jesus has spoken to the world through Saint Faustina, “My child, all your sins have not wounded My Heart as painfully as your lack of trust does – that after so many efforts of My love and mercy, you should still doubt my goodness” (Diary 1486). …”The graces of my mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is – trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive. Souls that trust boundlessly are a great comfort to Me” (Diary 1578). JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU!

Jesús, en Ti Confío. Hoy es la Octava de Pascua y el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia. Celebramos solemnemente el gran Misterio de nuestra Salvación. “Esta doctrina es segura y debe ser aceptada sin reservas: Jesucristo vino al mundo para salvar a los pecadores.” (1 Timoteo 1:15) “¡Tanto amó Dios al mundo que le dio a su Hijo Único, para que todo el que crea en él no perezca, sino que tenga vida eterna.” (Juan 3:16) Ahora estamos viviendo en la era final de la Divina Misericordia. A través de la Encarnación de Jesús, la Pasión, la Muerte, la Resurrección, el Don del Espíritu Santo y la fundación de la Iglesia, la misericordia y la vida eterna en el Reino de Dios se ofrecen a todos los seres humanos desde Adán y Eva hasta el fin de la historia. ¡Recibamos el regalo, luego celebremos y vivamos nuestra nueva vida en Cristo! Sin embargo, todavía hay fuerzas que están intentando impedir esto. ¿Contra qué nos enfrentamos? El Catecismo lo expresa de esta manera. “Dios creó al hombre a su imagen y lo estableció en su amistad. (396) ... El hombre, tentado por el diablo, dejó morir en su corazón la confianza hacia su creador y, abusando de su libertad, desobedeció al mandamiento de Dios. En adelante, todo pecado será una desobediencia a Dios y una falta de confianza en su bondad. (397) ... La Escritura muestra las consecuencias dramáticas de esta primera desobediencia. … Tienen miedo de Dios de quien han concebido una falsa imagen, la de un Dios celoso de sus prerrogativas. (399) Jesús, que es verdadero Dios y verdadero hombre, sufrió y murió por nosotros. Se levantó de entre los muertos para ofrecernos a él y a la Paz del Padre, el perdón, el espíritu, la amistad, la misericordia y la misión. Jesús ha hablado al mundo a través de Santa Faustina, “Has de saber, oh alma, que todos tus pecados no han herido tan dolorosamente Mi corazón como tu actual desconfianza - que después de tantos esfuerzos de Mi amor y Mi misericordia no te fías de Mi bondad"  (Diario 1486). ... “Las gracias de Mi misericordia se toman con un solo recipiente y éste es la confianza. Cuanto más confíe un alma, tanto más recibirá. Las almas que confían sin límites son Mi gran consuelo, porque en tales almas vierto todos los tesoros de Mis gracias.” (Diario 1578). ¡Jesus, en Ti Confío!
