Registration Starts: To Be Announced 
Must be 18 years or older or a Senior in High School
Program Lengthen: Eight(8) Months
Fee: $50.00 for Materials payable at class.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: 

R.C.I.A. is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation with specific liturgical rites for seekers and inquirers. Seekers and inquirers are non-baptized adults who desire to be fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church and/or validly baptized adult Christians who desire full communion in the Roman Catholic Church. All are welcome!

Adult sacramental Preparation


Adult Baptized Catholics:

A person who is baptized in the Catholic Church can register for Adult Confirmation Classes which prepare them to receive the Sacraments of Penance, Holy Communion and Confirmation. The classes meet on Monday evenings from August to April. Registration forms are available at the Parish Rectory. A copy of your baptism is required. For more details, please email Mary Shearer at Mary.RCIA@sjoachim.org or call Rectory at (559) 673-3290. 

Non-baptized Adults:

A person who is unbaptized can register for R.C.I.A. classes which will prepare them to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil (Holy Saturday). The classes meet on Monday evenings from August to April. Registration forms are available at the Parish Rectory. A copy of your birth certificate is required. Validly Baptized in Another Christian Church:

A person who is validly baptized in another Christian Church can register for R.C.I.A. classes which will prepare them to make a Profession of Faith and receive the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. The classes meet on Monday evenings from August to April. Registration forms are available at the Parish Rectory. A copy of your baptismal certificate is required.
